Welcome to the Snow Festival!

Krishna, member of snow sculpture team, India
"We have been working on the snow sculpture
since we arrived in Sapporo 3 days ago and now
we're heading home today. I was surprised that
the people here are curious about Hindu gods
and open to different cultures."
Ben & Sheena, English teachers, Kanagawa
"We went to Abashiri and Kushiro to see
the ice floes. The crab we had there was excellent!
We bought Royce' chocolate for friends back
home."
Scott + Melanie, English teacher, Tokyo
"We are looking forward to having crab
and ramen. What did we buy for souvenirs? We're
just sending some post cards."

Mr. Inoue, Actor, Kitahiroshima
"I love doing things that no one has done
before."

Dale, captain of the snow sculpture team,
Hawaii
We are surfers/ice sculptors from Hawaii. It's
been a nice change of mood from the tropical
beach to freezing cold Sapporo! I love it here.
Sushi, crab, ramen, and women.

Kazys, captain of the snow sculpture team,
Lithuania
"Yes, I've tried fish with different sauce...
Japanese food is very different. I would like
to take home some CDs of traditional Japanese
music, which are almost impossible to find in
Lithuania."
