When I was in college in the U.S., my Saudi Arabian classmate invited me to a 'party' at his house. Soon after I got there, everyone there except him left the house. I had to eat scalding spaghetti with my bare hands, like he does. After that, he took me to the bathroom and showed me a hot bath saying, 'It's ready! Are you?' I pretended not to understand his English and rushed out of his house.

ロシア人の現在の妻が迷信深いのに驚きました。外出して忘れ物に気付いても、「悪いことが起こる」と、家に戻らせてもらえません。目の前を黒猫が横切ると、直ちにストップして、後ろの人が追い越すのを待ちます。ステレオなどのボリューム目盛りを13にすることも禁止されています。
